Yet another quality production from the good folks at Creative Control. Levi Maestro - FVF Interview

There is this kid with his skateboard from Tucson, Arizona. His name is Levi Maestro, his show is called Maestro Knows. He had this dream to travel the world and capture creative people, wherever he may be. Armed with his camera, a vision, social skills and huge curiosity, Levi Maestro, lives his dream and celebrates life and the people around him. He creates a reality show about his life that is worth every second to watch. He is probably one of the most focused, intelligent, congenial guests we had so far in our magazine. You can tell he has natural talent in expressing himself towards other people and loves being around people. This skill and talent combined with the opportunity of traveling different continents gives his show this special touch and unique style. Maestro likes good food, loves music and he has been traveling Europe for the last two months. We talked about his ideas and his show, which basically evolved from being a talented skateboarder trying to make a living as a professional. So he started with a video tape to promote his skills and raise attention. He lives in LA at the moment, where his homebase is located. So, we let the story be told by the man himself, Levi Maestro. Because he definitely knows.

Vide : The Making of Jay Z - Hard Knock Life

The story that’s often told about the beat is that Jay overheard Kid Capri play it and immediately wanted it for his album. But here, Jay-Z sits down with an unidentified foreign documentary to tell the story of the song’s producer, The 45 King, who also has DJ Kool’s “Let Me Clear My Throat” and Eminem’s “Stan” to his credit. Kid Capri makes a cameo too.

Samsung TL500

The small prosumer compact camera segment of the point & shoot camera market has gained popularity in the last few years, thanks to the widespread popularity of the Canon PowerShot G-Series. Most major camera companies are boasting their own respective flagship point & shoots to offer a nice package between size and function. Samsung recently unveiled the TL500 to challenge the likes of the pre-existing releases such as the Canon PowerShot G11 & S90, the Panasonic LX-3 and the Leica D-LUX 4. The camera shares many of the same manual functions as its peers in addition to having a f1.8, 24 mm lens combined with a 10.0 MP 1/1.7” CCD sensor. The camera will release this season with a suggested retail price of $450 USD.

Dj Clark Kent Rocks the I love Ny Party, Atlanta

ExclusiveAccess had to edit together little snippets of my friend DJ Clark Kent’s DJ set for the sake of time. But you get the point, that Clark rocked this “I Love NY” party in Atlanta the other night. Other than the fact that I like seeing him do his thing, I really posted this because of the foolery at the 4:46 mark with the drunky showing off his bottle of Henny, holding it over Clark’s laptop. Negative. And then the other guy in his winter puffy trying to talk to Clark while he’s working…not once, but twice. Not now, holmes. Ahh, some folks have the patience of saints.

Video : Jay Z on BBC Friday NIght with Jonathan Ross.

In order for hip-hop to have sustained careers like a Bono or these huge rockstars, we have to stretch the audience. It can’t be a young man’s game. It has to be a genre of music.” (5:10)

Jay-Z hit up Jonathan Ross’ show while in London for the Brit Awards.

He talks about his relationship with Obama (2:50), Obama listening to Blueprint in the gym when Jay called to congratulate his Democratic nomination (3:25), and says that he’s been invited to the White House repeatedly but hasn’t been able to attend because of touring. (3:05.)

After that, he talks about staying relevant in rap at 40 years old (5:05) and describes his 40th party in the Dominican Republic (6:05), where Diddy was running around with the mic saying “take that, take that” [*dead*] (7:00). He also jokes about being the true creator of Beyonce’s “uh, oh” and “Single Ladies” dance (9:10).

Miss Info typed up a through transcription of the highlights here.

After the jump, an uncensored performance of “On To The Next One” with his live band adding more life to the track & Young Guru DJ’ing.
